JON: MY HERO!Below are pics of our time in St. George and one afternoon and evening in Vegas. All was relaxing, wonderful, you name it. Jon and I got discounted passes to the "Phantom of the Opera" at the Venetian. Here is the glitch. Our hosts (Grandpa Jim and Nadine) agreed to come to Vegas with us--so that Savannah could see the sights. We would go to the M & M factory and Cesar's Palace (FAO Swartz toys) and the Cheesecake Factory. We walked from Cesar's Palace to M & M. That took over an hour. Jon and I took Savannah to the M & M 3-D show...at one point, she got scared and said, "I want to get out!" There was a part with a furnace that had a mean face. :( After that, we met up with our shopping hosts and walked all the way back to Cesar's. Jon and I had time for a very quick meal with the rest at The Cheesecake Factory and then we literally ate and ran to the Venetian. (We had to be there an hour before the show to get our tix). Grandpa Jim and Nadine would have to take Savannah to the toy store without us. It took every ounce of Jon's and my energy to run to the theatre...once there, we needed something that I left in the diaper bag...with Savannah. I almost lost it...Jon told me to stay at the theatre. With sweat already dripping down his brow and shin splints, he ran back to Cesar's on a full stomach to try and catch Grandpa, Nadine and Savannah before they headed back to St. George. (We took separate cars for this reason). 20 minutes (and a lifetime) later, he showed up...with the right stuff! We got in. Note to all: If you buy discount tix before any show in Vegas, a receipt IS NOT ENOUGH. Do NOT forget the vouchers.
