St George trip last week...

Our family had a blast in St George last week. We rode on this side by side on nearby trails. We went swimming, hung out, soaked up the sun, ate, read, slept and had no formal plans...I loved it! Below is a picture of Savannah with her new goggles.

Here is the area where we rode on the side by side. This was west of where we stayed.

Here is little miss in her new bathing suit. It is size 4, but she is little...

Here is little miss and "hippo girl"

It was hard to get her out of the water once she was in.

Same with this guy! He is wearing a t-shirt because he got a sunburn the day prior.
I actually did go swimming myself...in a bathing suit. I was too smart to let anyone take photos of me and my whiteness.

Easter egg hunt and making cookies

The cookies on the left are not pink, they are burnt. These also make great roof-tiles. Don't worry neighbors, we won't dump these on your doorstep. Easter should not be remembered for cracked teeth. Either way, after a cold bitter morning at the cut-throat egg hunt, it was fun to warm up inside and make cookies with Savannah, despite the result...for more on the egg hunt, scroll down.

The day before easter has indeed been busy at the Jenkins home. This morning the city held their annual Easter Egg dash-cut throat-grab my egg and you die-hunt. Needless to say, we survived without any broken bones or pulled hair from disgruntled parents.

Grocery Day at Pre-school

These are a little late. I've been busy...

Savannah and her pre-school class went to the grocery store. Big deal, right? Like she's never been there before with mom? Wrong. These lucky little tykes went behind the scenes, or behind the cold milk counters, into the refrigerated areas to see how milk is stocked. They also went to see where the meat is cut and put into a machine that magically wraps and stamps it. They also had a class photo taken and went behind the scenes to see the picture developed right then and there. To top it off, they each got a balloon, a cookie from the bakery, and a bag of fruit...now that's what I call a trip to the grocery store!
