I *heart* Star Trek

It all started when I decided to watch a re-run episode of Star Trek TNG. Loved this series.
And now I love, love, love the latest Star Trek. Live long and prosper...do I hear a sequel on the horizon?

Saturday activities

Savannah in her midget-sandbox. That didn't stop her from playing in it...for 2 hours! This kid loves dirt.

Earlier in the day, Savannah played a Turtles' game. When her team is in the out-field, she sqats and picks grass. She doesn't care about the game. However, when her team is up to bat, the kid can hit the ball. I caught her ball mid-air in the hit...what a cell-phone camara! Once she hit the ball, it took some encouraging for her to run to first base. That night Dad and Mom went to see "Star Trek" while "Little Miss" hung out w/ grandma and grandpa Stocking. Jon and I loved the movie so much, we are going to see it again...on IMAX. Fun day!

Happy 4rth Birthday Savannah!

Making a wish on the Dora Cake.

Dora birthday!

Legos...cool.

And of course, t-ball.
This year we had a family birthday. Since her t-ball game was rained out, we went out to IHOP and had a big breakfast with Grandpa Jerry, Grandpa Dennis and Grandma Gloria. Grandpa Jerry had to go to work, so the rest of us went to our house, opened gifts and sang "Happy Birthday" as Savannah made a wish and blew out the candles on her cake. Another round of "Happy Birthday" was sung after Grandpa Jim arrived. At the restaurant earlier, Savannah made sure the workers knew it was her birthday...so of course they sang "Happy Birthday" to her. The day before, Grandpa Jerry and Grandma Linda took her to the Kangaroo Zoo for a day of fun. Despite the weather, it was a fun time for all. Savannah has aknowledged that she has three grandpas and had to ask, "How did that happen?" First it starts with questions like this, and then in the middle of nowhere, come the deep and existential lines of questions...I'm not ready!

Savannah's first game with the Turtles

Savannah is up to bat.
In the game...

Pre-game practice with fellow team-mate. Savannah #2!

Throwing the ball.
It was quite cold and windy that day, although the pics do not reflect it. This game was two weeks ago. The last scheduled game was rained out...if only the weather would cooperate! Despite the cold weather, Savannah's dad and I enjoyed watching the game.
